Responsibilities
- Professional understanding of foley, mixing, recording, sound design, and sound implementation. Help to set best practices and standards for these work categories
- Create and implement sound assets to quality specifications, while helping the Audio Director to define the audio style and how that style is executed
- Review and provide peer feedback on work from other audio team members
- Assist Audio Leadership to specify the requirements for the audio department's needs for tools and pipeline to achieve the game's goals
- Work with Production to adhere to development schedules and identify dependencies from other departments
- Evaluate and communicate risk to Audio Leadership and Production
Essential Qualifications
- 3+ years of experience as a sound designer
- 2+ years of professional experience with Unreal or Unity
- Demonstrated list of shipped titles
- Excellent Sound Design aesthetic with a keen ear for detail
- WWISE and game scripting experience
- Field and studio recording experience
- Masterful within Pro Tools and/or other audio othering tools
- Experienced with most industry standard plugin and toolsets (Waves, Izotope, etc…)
- Solid grasp of broadcast and mix specifications
- Strong interpersonal communication skills, especially while working with groups outside of the audio department
- VR experience and a love for VR
